  • The Carpenters from Kempsey
    Saturday, September 20, 2008
This performance takes the traditional tribute show and turns it on its ear - in the most hilarious of ways. Darren and Sharon Carpenter are twins, born six months apart, from Kempsey. They never really fitted into life on the farm, and they were absolutely hopeless at just about everything. Until that magical day they discovered one of dad's old vinyl records - those 'Other Carpenters'. Not only did they look similar, but they shared a family name. Darren and Sharon have hit the road singing. Singing all the songs those 'other Carpenters' made famous, including Close to You, Once More, Ticket to Ride, Rainy Days and Monday, Calling Occupants, Jambalaya, Mr Postman, Top of the World, Superstar, Goodbye to Love, Only Yesterday, There's a Kind of Hush, Love is Surrender, We've Only Just Begun. The show is hysterically funny and the songs are so memorable you can't help but sing along. Tickets: Adult $34, Senior $26, Child (14 yrs & under) $26 You can book your tickets through the RPAC Box Office in person or via phone on (07) 3829 8131 between 12.00 - 4pm Monday - Friday and 10am - 1pm on Saturdays or online any time at www.rpac.com.au.

  • Pink Floyd Experience
    Friday, September 26, 2008
THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE is exactly what it says, an experience. Everything about this concert, from the spectacular light show and simply perfect sound to the soaring guitar solos is inspired by a deep reverence for the music of Pink Floyd. Both the musicianship and the attention to detail of this nine piece band are extraordinary. THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE first visited Australia in 2004 and returned in 2006. Both tours completely sold out, with critics and audiences around the country unanimous in their praise for this superb concert performance. THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE return in 2008 with their brand new show featuring innovative special effects, a stunning new lighting design and a huge collection of Floyd favourites such as Wish You Were Here, Dogs, Money, Have a Cigar, Learning to Fly and Comfortably Numb, together with the pick of the songs from the last tour. THE PINK FLOYD EXPERIENCE has evolved over a period of twelve years. What started off as a 'one off' concert idea between two musicians with a mutual passion for Pink Floyd has turned into a world class rock event. Echoing everything that made Pink Floyd one of rock and roll's greatest icons, these extraordinary musicians do it again celebrating the music, the themes and the innovation that this great band brought to music fans around the world.
